Just so it is clear...this is a tiny book, like 'size of your palm' sized book..that's the point. Sort of like those miniature books you see while waiting in line at a Barnes & Noble or something, really you are most likely purchasing this for the novelty value (which is why I did), and probably because it's cute/ provides a decent amount of information on the subject. However, if you need some in depth, and I'm talking IN DEPTH info on tea leaf reading, you sort of made a mistake purchasing this, and assuming to get that in this size of a book. This is a fun little book, I used to own a few random ones on various topics as a child i.e: astrology, feng shui, etc. so I figured I would pick something similar up. Really cute though, and it comes with a little min dust cover.

I love this. It's very small and I knew what I ordered. Don't expect anything else if you order one. I bought it as part of a set of miniature books and together they're amazingly adorable. Hardcover book with a dust cover.

This little book is the cutest and most handy tea reading reference I’ve come across in a while in my Wiccan practice. The interpretations are a little off but for the most part seem accurate. I just really love how small and travel friendly it is.

Bryce's premise is basically, "humans are smart - we'll figure it out, we always do". I agree and enjoyed Bryce's examples of human ingenuity, which he pulls from multiple industries. Bryce makes great points countering what he calls "catastrophists", showing in one example how the "end of oil" has been predicted over and over again for the last hundred years. You'll come away more at ease with the state of the world and a bit more optimistic. Overall I really enjoyed the book but Bryce, who is a self-proclaimed optimist, at times comes off pretty negative when talking about folks he disagrees with, President Obama and Amory Lovins in particular. It's unfortunate since Lovins is another optimist who embraces efficiency and many of the same ideas Bryce promotes. Definitely worth reading - I look forward to reading more of Bryce's books.

Smaller Faster Lighter Denser Cheaper is a fascinating examination of the process and progress of innovation. Author Robert Bryce has picked a wide range of examples, from cellphones and computer chips to steam engines and Tour de France bicycles, explaining how each of these became smaller, faster, lighter, denser or cheaper, and often all of the above. Bryce writes exceptionally well and is able to explain concepts that are quite complex in very readable, easily understandable prose.No concept is more crucial to his narrative that that of density, especially as applied to energy. Thin diffuse sources especially solar, wind and biofuels have become popular with politicians and the media, and are touted as the answers to all energy-related issues. Bryce shows that these energy fads are impractical largely because they all lack density and therefore need enormous spaces to replace even one coal-fired electric power plant. One can only hope that politicians read the book and move toward more effective energy policies as result.While Bryce shows that solar and wind cannot be the answer for the world's energy needs, he does not simply endorse the status quo. In fact, he sees the future of electric power as a shift from coal to natural gas in the near term and eventually from gas to nuclear power (or as he calls it, N2N). Bryce is a technological optimist and he is expecting advances in nuclear energy to make reactors smaller and above all, cheaper in the years ahead. Bryce makes the case for nuclear power effectively. I am going through this book with a Church Leadership Coach, and we are also using with that leadership coach in our Church. We've found the book helpful on a couple of fronts: The description of the levels of Leadership has helped us as a Church to understand what it takes to build into people, to develop them and help them influence those around them. The ideas surrounding prioritization has really helped because it has forced the elders and the leadership board of my Church to see what my roles and tasks really are, and where I need to focus on so that they can lead well and we can impact our community. We do find though that the book rests to much on older examples, and doesn't do the job it could do in translating to the 21st century. It is a bit dated and it shows.

Developing the Leader Within You takes a pragmatic approach to covering key leadership topics one by one. Maxwell’s assertion that everything rises and falls with leadership is supported by a foundation of leadership principals including integrity and a focus on people. Each chapter contains at least a few valuable insights and I found the chapters on priorities, change, problem solving and vision particularly useful. My critique is that the book could do a bit more to align principals to specific applications that readers may find relevant. That said, the principals are presented in a manner that they may be applied universally and there’s probably no harm in asking the reader to draw his own applications.

Dunk & Egg are back at it with the 3rd graphic novel by the same team that brought you the excellent first two editions.Same great quality. Same amazingly expressive artwork.Absolutely worthy of the high quality that was set by The Hedge Knight and The Sworn Sword.

This is the third prequel novella that has been adapted as a graphic novel. The first two were excellent - this is truly superb. The plot, pacing, characterization and dialogue are all first rate. The art is exceptional. You don't have to know the history of Westeros to appreciate this. Mr. Martin does an outstanding job showing the intrigue and politics that follow the lines and bastards of kings.

I was happy to spend some time revisiting The Mystery Knight in graphic novel form. It's been seemingly released to little fan-fair. Turning the pages here takes me back to the days of my youth and being an avid comic book reader. Like all GRRM fans I'd much rather read something new; say The Winds of Winter, or even the next Dunk & Egg tale. But until then, taking a trot down the jousting lane with Dunk and Egg at Whitewalls will have to do.

CAVEAT: This is a Kindle Edition Review, which considers the story and the medium with separate standards.Story: This is a graphic adaptation of the GRRM short story "The Mystery Knight," which builds more backstory into "A Song of Ice and Fire." If you're new to the series, you should start with "The Hedge Knight."In this story, Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg are making their way north across the Riverlands when they decide to join the festivities of wealthy Lord Butterwell's wedding. There will be a feast and a jousting tourney, with Lord Butterwell's dragon egg as the prize. Duncan tries out some privileges of knighthood for himself and finds them a mixed bag, just as his old master Ser Arlan warned him. Egg, with his eye for social subtleties, senses the political elephant in the castle before Duncan. The knights, the lordly Houses and the exercise of power and symbolism are all themes we get another perspective on, building on the work of "The Hedge Knight," "The Sworn Sword," and other ASOIAF titles.My only quibble with the story, as told, is two lines lost in translation from the short story. At the campfire by the lake, after Ser Kyle tells the salacious story of where Butterwell's dragon egg came from, Dunc makes the quip that "If half those old stories were true, we'd all be bastard sons of old King Aegon." Ser Maynard Plumm ripostes "Who says we aren't?!"Medium: Like Adam Charlton notes in his review, many panels could stand some more zoom. You can't magnify the text or the action and read these beautiful panels like you can in the Kindle GN edition of "The Hedge Knight," "The Sworn Sword," or "Meathouse Man," other GRRM graphic adaptions I own. 3 screenshots are attached I hope that if the novel is reformatted, kindle owners will be alerted.

I love the Dunk & Egg tales and this third installment does not disappoint.The illustrations are great and it continues the adventures of one of our favorite duos.

Beautiful artwork and almost no variance from the original text. My only criticism would be that it shied away from the Fiddler's homosexuality in terms of dialogue which is slightly disquieting. Otherwise it's lovely.

And the story continues .... I thoroughly enjoyed this simple and far too short of a tale. I cant wait for the fifth edition....

My favorite tale in the Dunk and Egg sega and this just allows an extra look of what the world of ice and fire looks like. Isnt word for word transposed but tells the whole story and is beautiful

Phil Gaimon can ride much better than me, write much better than me, and eat cookies much better than me. I really want to hate his books, but the problem is they're entertaining as all hell and once I start one I just can't put it down.Even a non cyclist would possibly enjoy this. Actually no. Non cyclists only enjoy getting fat and occasionally running us over.

Phil is obviously a very talented writer, couching in hilarious humor, excellent insights he gathered in the professional ranks! Instead of going awash in deep technicality or grandios physiology, Phil relates easily in layman's language . No bitterness, here, even if there is, it's couched in humor. I wish it were twice it's length because you won't want to put it down; and just like a great race, it will all be over too soon!!

Should or shouldn't I buy yet another bike book, and at a relatively high price at that...? Well, I finally did, and no regrets whatsoever. Written with lots of wit and 'dry' humor, but also with a lot of useful tips, this book is delightful to read, and has become one of my favorites on my "Kindle shelf" :-)

Phil Gaimon's responses to reader questions are hilarious, and the book served to remind me how much I enjoyed Pro Cycling on $10 a day. Ask a Pro was a very quick read, but worth buying because I didn't read many of the articles when they were in print. The individual responses were so short, it was easy to read a couple while in line, waiting for kids, etc. Reading Phil's perspective makes me realize how lucky I am (most of the time) to be an amateur who rides and races solely for fun. Looking forward to his next book in October.

Just about any quirky, little thing you wanted to know about pro cycling is in this book. A great read, no. A fun read on the toilet or for your commute to work? Yes!!!! I'd call this book a supplement but Phil has a way of making $$ and I read his $10 a day book which I enjoyed. I think he's making more than $10 a day now. Way to go!!!

This is very entertaining! I found myself LOL'ing quite a bit, although there were times he either didn't give a real answer or I couldn't tell if he was kidding or not. Will purchase some of his other books now too.

Very similar to his other book. I enjoyed it and read it in under a week so it kept me coming back. I like his sarcasm which reminds us to not take cycling too serious unless you are a pro.

Nothing new. But still fun to read. Phil may not have won a Tour, but he would be my first choice of a rider to buy a beer
