My favorite recipe is the Salted Caramel Double Chocolate Pie. If you love chocolate with a healthy twist you will love this book!

This is a beautiful cookbook with delicious, healthy recipes that I feel good preparing. I have brought different treats from this book to various gatherings and everything I've made so far has been a huge hit. Everyone who has tasted the zucchini bread has asked me for the recipe.

This cook book is fantastic! Everything in this book is made with high-quality ingredients that you feel good about putting into your body. The photos are stunning and make you want to make every single recipe! I've tried almost every recipe in this book and all are as delicious as they sound. Highly recommend!

First of all, let me say this - I am a trained pastry chef and I bought this book because I wanted to dive into making healthier, more wholesome desserts and wow oh wow did this book deliver! It's super approachable in the recipes, meaning I don't have to special order a million ingredients, but then the photos are just SO gorgeous they make you want to make everything! I've made a few of their recipes and they are all a hit: the almond butter cups were insane, brownie trifle divine, and the tiramisu beats anything else! I love also how the book really teaches you about the ingredients and why they are important - and how important good cacao is in our life. Great gift - get it and you'll love it just as much! Oh and don't think because they are plant based recipes you need to be vegan to enjoy it, we are not vegan and LOVE this book!

As usual, I borrowed this book from the library before deciding whether to buy it. I will not be purchasing this book because (1) it's vegan and (2) it isn't as healthy as advertised. The recipes sound delicious until one looks more closely at the ingredients. For example, maple syrup and/or honey are used as sweeteners in essentially in every recipe. The problem is that maple syrup and honey are every bit as unhealthy for us as refined sugar. Honey is basically fructose, and we all know that high fructose corn syrup is something to be avoided at all costs. In addition, many recipes use coconut butter. Coconut oil is commonly sold as a health food and some claim the fat in it may be better for us than other saturated fats. However, the AHA reports that coconut oil is as unhealthy as beef drippings and butter. As far as the vegan issue, if I'm going to consume a food that contains maple syrup, honey and coconut butter, then I'd rather go ahead and use butter, cream, milk and eggs in favor of saving the product for a special treat than to denigrate the taste by using eggs made from chia seeds, etc., just so that I can fool myself into believing that it is healthy enough to consume every day. I'll be attempting to develop my own cacao recipes that are healthy and tasty without the need to substitute for eggs, butter and milk.

I love this book! I have already made a few recipes from it. I make the coconut bacon almost DAILY. I am obsessed. Do yourself a favor and get this book! It's full of unexpected and delicious plant-based recipes. Seriously...I've dug through endless vegan food blogs and recipes. These recipes are special.
