I injured my neck in a car accident 2 years ago. I purchased Dr. Taylor's book which is full of practical, tried and true non surgical treatments for neck pain. I tried many of the suggestions that are made in this book including daily stretches and exercises. When I did go to the neurologist I took this book, along with a list of different treatments I had tried and a headache journal I had started to keep track of the severity and how often I was having neck pain and headaches. I felt like I went to the doctor much more informed after having read Dr. Taylor's book. It is written for the laymen but full of practical and wise solutions and options for anyone suffering with chronic neck pain. I would highly recommend this book if you are suffering from neck pain and headaches/migraines related to your pain. -Tanya Woods R.N.
If you're serious about getting rid of and truly understanding your neck pain and your treatment options then this is the book for you! Dr Taylor simply explains complex diseases processes, disorders, anatomy, and available treatments in a way that a lay person (non-medical) can understand, however, is in depth enough for a medical professional to learn many things from. 5/5 stars!!!
For one who has suffered from severe chronic neck pain for years I found this book very enlightening. Very easy read, easy to understand. I also realize now that physical activity plays an important role in reovery, this book only helps to confirm the role exercise plays in that process. Instructions on how to stretch and exercise the neck and surronding area is included. Surprisingly the book also highlights traditional eastern medicine as an alternative.
I have had chronic neck pain over 20 years and purchased this book in hopes of understanding and finding an alternative to what hasn't worked for me. No luck yet, but not the book or writers fault. I'd rate it higher if I was now pain free.
I DID NOT RECIEVE IT!!!!! INSTEAD I RECIEVED "WOMEN'S GYNECOLOGIC HEALTH" OF WHICH I HAVE NO NEED.
Dr.Taylor’s book is a great read for those suffering from chronic neck pain. Full of illustrations, explanations, exercises, and methods.well layed out and researched. The exercises have loosened my neck and lessened my pain. I feel Great!
