What an amazing old book recounting the early history of the United States, of which the (ana)Baptists were an important part. This is not one of those new-style religious "history" books. This is real research and verifiable history with no preaching or political agenda. A great read.

What I expected
A great Book
The book gives a view of Baptist from the landmark position on Baptist history. The content was helpful, however this is definitely a history book and not intended for a casual read.
Great book very thorough acount of baptist history
This edition is better than the two volume set. The print is easier to read. The contents page telling where the chapters are is very good. If I could improve it, I would make it in a hard cover.
