I am a n scale modeler and found this book to be very useful for the area I am modeling. Not mention the history of the railroad in the Maryland area.
Up to the usual high standard of the publishers Bookworm.
A trip down memory lane
This entire series of books is great. but this one in particular is superb!The joy of these books is seeing things you are familiar with (Usually buildings) in photos from another era. This one focuses on trains that aren't around anymore. So that doesn't work as well. These are all photos from another era of things that have long since disappeared completely.There are a few structures from the B&O railroad left that are identifiable today. But mostly this book is about the trains, which are sadly gone. But this book gives the B&O Railroad life again, both with the photos and with the detailed write ups of how and where the railroad ran.It's a great gift for any B&O Railroad fan in your life!
This book has the same pictures I have seen in other books. The picture quality is grainy and often the picture is smaller. I stopped buying these books and look for older books and search railroad historical society websites for modeling locomotives and rolling stock.
